Conflict Fitness Diagnosis
The surest way to ensure that conflict doesn’t end up becoming a destructive force in an organisation is to strengthen an organisation’s capacity to channel conflict tensions towards a constructive expression. Preventively, an organisation may want to look at the structures and processes that inadvertently lead to conflict. Even simple things like the physical set-up of an organisation and the spaces in which individuals can meet play a defining role in how they eventually perceive and deal with tensions and disagreements. Just as a doctor looks at the ways in which one’s environment can make someone sick, we can work together to assess how fit your organisation is to deal with conflict and what mechanisms can preventively be put in place to make sure that when conflict does show up, everyone is ready to deal with it, like a firefighter ready to put out a fire. As part of this process, we will be looking at underlying conflict drivers in your organisation, potential obstacles to effective teamwork, as well as individual and group skill-building needs. We will look at hiring and onboarding practices, employee engagement programmes, learning and development strategies, organisational culture and much more, to see how all of these interact with each other to foster or to prevent conflict.
